COLTS PERFORMANCE SEAL PROGRAMS
The COLTS Performance Seal Program is designed as a tool for manufacturers to demonstrate the quality and performance of their products, as well as to verify marketing claims. The companies who participate in this voluntary program are committed to going above and beyond to make sure their product meets or exceeds standards, whether these standards are set by a National or International Standards Committee or the industry itself. To obtain and maintain the COLTS Performance Seal, regular testing is required (frequently varies).
The list below is intended to be a tool for consumers to learn more about products from companies committed to quality. It is broken up by category with more information on the specific Performance Seal that has been awarded. Each logo provides a hyperlink to the company website, where you can learn more about what they have to offer.

Blue Light Performance Seal Members
This Program validates the manufacturer or distributor's blue light blocking marketing claims by confirming that the lenses block the claimed blue light nanometers (blue light bands on the light spectrum), as well as the percentage of blockage.
*COLTS does not confirm or state what nanometers of blue light should or should not be blocked. COLTS can only confirm that the claims made by the program participant are valid.

FDA Compliance Performance Program Seal Members
This Program is for laboratories that are compliant with mandatory FDA Drop Ball regulations for all eyeglasses sold in the US. This program requires quarterly testing through COLTS, in addition to on-site audits completed by a third party.

This Program allows companies to show their standout commitment to a higher standard. Products in this program have not only met the ANSI Z87.1 standard - they have also passed MIL-PRF 32432A testing for ballistics. This means the product tested can withstand the same ballistic ratings as military-grade eyewear.

This Program allows labs to show their ability to produce accurate prescription lenses for safety glasses. They must also meet safety requirements for impacting. These labs are required to continually meet the requirements of ANSI Z87.1-2020 by completing quarterly testing.
